Sam Smith Sells Out January at Madison Square Garden

One of the year's artist development success stories - a feather in the cap for CAPITOL MUSIC GROUP's STEVE BARNETT - continues to just get bigger. CAPITOL RECORDS' SAM SMITH, who is expected to be prominent in this year's GRAMMY nominations, has sold out both NEW YORK's MADISON SQUARE GARDEN (JANUARY 15th) as well as THE FORUM in LOS ANGELES (JANUARY 30th), with an extra gig added for JANUARY 29th. The month-long run is also sold out in ATLANTA, NASHVILLE, BOSTON, TORONTO, DETROIT, CHICAGO, SAN FRANCISCO, MINNEAPOLIS, WASHINGTON, D. C. and VANCOUVER. Earlier this week, Smith swept the MOBO AWARDS, taking home awards for "Best R&B Act,"Best Male,"Best Song"("Stay With Me") and "Best Album. "Additionally, the 22-year old British sensation walked away with a Q Award for "Best New Act"- earning five awards in a single day. SMITH is also nominated for two AMERICAN MUSIC AWARDS: "New Artist of the Year Presented by KOHL'S"and "Favorite Male Artist-Pop/Rock,"to air live SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 23rd (8-11p ) on ABC, where SMITH will also take the stage to perform the hit single, "I'm Not The Only One.
